Responsibilities
- Report to Senior Aircraft Purchasing Engineer and Materials Manager. Assist Senior Aircraft Purchasing Engineer in day-to-day operations of the Materials
- Section and assistance in the procurement, storage, issue, transportation, handling, and control of engineering materials efficiently and economically
- Responsible to obtain quotations and assist in the preparation of purchase requests, purchase orders, service orders, loan orders, exchange orders, and final ordering of all
- aircraft and commercial items which are required for aircraft maintenance
- Liaise and follow up with all agencies for clearance of all incoming engineering spare
- Ensure the most cost-effective method of shipment to the dispatched material
- Standing by and promptly supporting Aircraft on Ground (AOG) during weekends and public holidays
- Liaise with Quality Assurance Division for approval of the new supplier
- To monitor, and review the current Approved Supplier List (ASL) for an up-to-date at least quarterly or whenever require in view of available information and must ensure that the suppliers who are not authorized to supply the part in the market must be removed from the Approved Supplier List (ASL)
- Carry out all concerned duties regarding Quality, Safety & Security required by the company
- Provide the summary report of work once requested by the Materials ManagerCoordinate with Store Engineers, suppliers, and freight forwarder to solve problems
Qualifications
- Background in the aviation field is beneficial
- Excellent command of English both writing and speaking
- Good computer knowledge including Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Teamwork attitude
- Tidiness manner, exhaustive in any respect of job, patient to any pressure, observation habit
