Assist the PIC in flight preparation and provide the relevant information required.
Perform the operational flight plan according to company policy, sign when applicable and file the ATS flight plan with the appropriate ATS unit with regard to safety, economy and efficiency based upon the latest available weather forecast, NOTAM, and regulations contained in the Company Operations Manual, Jeppesen Manual and relevant Aeronautical Information Publications.
Prepare necessary and relevant Flight Documents for all flights.
Furnish the PIC while in flight, by appropriate means, with information which may be necessary for the safe conduct of the flight.
Notify the appropriate ATS unit when the position of the aircraft cannot be determined by an aircraft tracking capability, and attempts to establish communication are unsuccessful.
Analyze and evaluate meteorological information to determine potential hazards to safety of flight and to select the most desirable and economic route of flight.
Prepare and sign the dispatch release which is the legal document providing authorization for a flight to depart.
Assist flight crew in regards of load control and weight balanced calculation.
Assist and coordinate with functions concerned regarding operational matters.
Carry out unforeseen irregular operations in their shift.
Record essential statistic of flight operations in the Dispatch log.
