The materials manager is required to be self-sufficient and a subject matter expert. The resolution of supply chain issues will be lead and resolved through the persistent management of stakeholders and suppliers.
To lead, plan, and develop the Materials supply obligations.
Maintaining a proactive, positive, and consistent approach to assist all internal and customer project functions in support of common project goals.
To provide an efficient and effective Material Supply to the operations team and enable them to maintain the service availability of the depot fleets whilst managing material cost and inventory in line with budget and cost down processes.
Development, Maintain, and execute a detailed logistics/procurement/materials plan. Including all financial governance that applies to this.
Day to day coordination and direction of materials related activities across multiple functions.
Management of the contractual deliverables related to materials, providing sufficient availability to operational delivery.
Participate and lead the development and progress of the project. Ensuring the business is continuously adapting to meet operational requirements through long term strategy.
Responsibility for performance, reporting, and development of the Materials team, and the communication routes for materials and Procurement issues within the business.
