The DevOps Engineer is responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations teams, streamlining processes, and automating tasks to improve efficiency and collaboration. This role involves working closely with the Software Manager, and other IT staff to develop, deploy, and maintain the company's IT systems and infrastructure.
- Assist in integrating and implementing operational systems, working alongside the Software Manager, and other IT staff.
- Collaborate with teams to identify areas for process improvement in the software development lifecycle and implement streamlined solutions.
- Manage and maintain system performance, stability, and security for all operations.
- Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate code deployment, testing, and monitoring.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IAC) solutions, automating infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Monitor system performance, proactively identify potential issues, and take measures to ensure stability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and infrastructure-related issues, providing effective and timely solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to DevOps, including configuration files and troubleshooting guides.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices for system and infrastructure security.
- Evaluate and recommend new DevOps technologies, tools, and services to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies through training and workshops.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, software development, or system administration, with a solid understanding of development and operations processes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and methodologies, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation, utilizing languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, capable of resolving complex technical issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements, including data privacy and security standards.
